Reading this also hits home too, It’s hard work doing the things you want to do in life when it’s not easy (and often feels like you’re moving blindly). But the fact that you’re still reflecting and pushing forward says a lot. You’re doing great! Don’t forget to give yourself some credit!

Well, You certainly have a good project ahead and I can reinterpret with what I mean as a good romance story in my opinion, A good romance story has to be something like a slow-burn with the romantic tension and the characters have to be something like complex beings with thoughts and motivations, Oh and another reason I hated romance movies is because they are too Heteronormative and Homophobic. (I am Pan/Bisexual & Polyamorous), and you need to have a justifiable reason why your two characters love each other to make a good romance arc. BTW, I don't personally hate you, I just hope your project is good.
